Honk on Tap

A few weeks ago I ended up stopping at a red light with this huge truck in front of me. With nothing else to do until the light turned green, I checked out my surrounds and spied the small print on the lower right of this truck.

My question: ARE THEY SERIOUS? WILL THEY REALLY DO THAT? AND WHAT HAPPENS IF I DID HONK? WOULD I GET A FREE BEER? AND WHY AREN'T THERE MORE HONKING ACCIDENTS OR SOMETHING?
Can anyone explain the logic or reason behind this?????

hmmmm... next time I see a Budweiser truck, I'm honking! Just going to test that little free beer theory out. Or, maybe we'll see if the drive speaks German--y'know that a German company bought out Bud, and they are no longer technically an American company.

I don't (can't) drink, but that's hilarious!

Hi, Ae!
Hi, Brandy!
Thanks for stopping by!

I posted this on another journal I belong to and Lee very nicely provided a very sensible, though not as much fun, answer to my question...
and I quote...

"No, you wouldn't get a free beer ... there are some areas where highways are one-lane and occasionally have 'pull-off' areas for trucks -- I've seen that around Seattle. A truck that's going up a long, steep grade is going to be a lot slower than 4-wheel traffic, and when they acquire a string of cars, a sensible trucker will pull over and let the car past.

No free beer behind the wheel, sorry."

So, I guess it's a safety issue. I love learning new things!

I Tried a Book Out of My Comfort Zone

Sometimes, reading out of my comfort zone is ... well, uncomfortable. The blurb of the book sounded rather interesting. The Fate of Mercy ...
