Honk on Tap

A few weeks ago I ended up stopping at a red light with this huge truck in front of me. With nothing else to do until the light turned green, I checked out my surrounds and spied the small print on the lower right of this truck.



My question: ARE THEY SERIOUS? WILL THEY REALLY DO THAT? AND WHAT HAPPENS IF I DID HONK? WOULD I GET A FREE BEER? AND WHY AREN'T THERE MORE HONKING ACCIDENTS OR SOMETHING?
Can anyone explain the logic or reason behind this?????

Oh I am So having fun.

Remember The MOD SQUAD?

I have that as one of my most favorite memories of TV when I was younger.

You know that old saying, "You can't go back."?

They were right.
One thing that hasn't changed is the music.

The music is awesome!

I never realized how suspensefully romantic the intro is. Think of all the latest romance books that have the heroine running from the bad guy along with the hero(es) and his sidekick(s).

How the heroes, being male, still have a tendency to protect the female, even when she's capable of doing - if not the same job as they, then darned close to it - the same level of survivability (read kick-A$$)required to get the job done.

Check out the Intro to the MOD SQUAD - the music gets you movin' and groovin'. Sort of makes me want to run too. **gg**

What you see in this clip could NEVER be done now. Personally, I was rooting for the good guys but nowadays, the good guys hands are tied. At least, that's how I feel.

Another thing is ... the one-time manly hero of my young heart has the voice of a .... gentle geek. He can throw a good punch, sure - but when he talks?

Ouch. That's what I meant by my not being able to go back.

I think my tastes have changed.

LOL

Another thing I think is funny is these cops drive a woody with the requisite surf boards on top. That is just too cute!

On an aside... you know that pic of Michael Cole?

I have a blog buddy whose blog has been neglected because he's doing some amazing things in his life.

But when I first got a comment from him years ago? My heart almost stopped. You see, his blog icon was his picture.

My very first impression was that I was looking at a matured Michael Cole when in fact it was non other than Judson Knight, husband of the wonderful author, Deidre Knight, of the Parrallel series.

And Judson's voice is the voice that should have been on The Mod Squad.

How do I know?

He made it onto Jeopardy last year and I got to see the episode on TV.

After a week of this, she can't stand it anymore, takes her complaint to a supervisor in the personnel department, and asks to file a Sexual Harassment grievance against him.

The Human Resources Supervisor is puzzled and asks:

"What's sexually threatening about a co-worker telling you your hair smells nice?"

The woman replies,

I'm resolved to NO new Resolution

I'm not making any new New Year's Resolutions this year folks.

I'm keeping last years. *grin*

I have been working on a story and it's gone through the fine toothed comb of three edits. The process is long for me because I've not dedicated myself exclusively to it. If you've been reading my blog for the last few months, then you know what has been distracting me. Initially it was my being a reviewer, then came the crisis with my son. That saga continues. I have an apppointment with an attorney tomorrow BUT that might be affected by the 2 inches an hour of snow predicted for Late tonight into tomorrow morning. My appointment is in the morning. Oh Joy.

My other goal was to lose weight. Lose weight? Hahahahaha.

All I wanted was to lose 5 pounds...I GAINED it. Can anyone say "Stress Eating?"

I tried a new flavor of coffee the other day... Double Chocolate. Can you say "YUM" ?

So, What are YOUR plans for New Years Eve?

For the first time in years, we have plans. We've been invited to my co-workers house and it should be good. We're bringing the wine: Blackberry Merlot.

It has become my absolute favorite. It goes well with food, never looses its flavor and is smooth and tasty. I'm not a wine drinker but I make exceptions for this wine.

I have to make chocolate chip cookies and brownies too...who won't eat chocolate?

BTW - My Christmas dinner was Hot Dogs and Beans. LOL

We ended up not going anywhere because my DH and youngest ended up with colds. The two houses we were to visit on Christmas had people with compromised immune sysytems. We couldn't expose them to germs so we stayed home. Since we anticipated eating well and coming home with left-overs because we always do, we had nothing in the house. Hence, Pork and Beans for supper.

You make the best of things when you have to.

The best thing? Staying in our PJ's all day! And playing Monopoly with my little one for 2 hours. Eldest built a LEGO masterpiece - tried to anyway. It has over 1300+ pieces and he had to stop when he found he had legos missing. Replacement parts are on thier way. The Lego Company is really awesome in customer service for replacing missing parts from their kits.

Anyone have a Wii yet? Three families got together to get it for my kids.

Oh my goodness! It is SO COOL!

My kids were playing the baseball game and begged me to try it out.

Woot!

Mom goes up to bat. Not only do I get all bases loaded, I HIT A HOME RUN!!

My kid's jaws dropped to the floor. Mom is GOOD!

Have a Wonderful Weekend, everyone!!

I read a Master

Master of Dragons, that is, by Angela Knight. Just finished it.

By the By - the book cover I found here on the 'net' is NOT the same as what I bought. Same guy with the flowing hair, still hot, BUT the dragon is a shadow and the tattoo ends up in the middle of his chest. AND his belt isn't covered with the word MASTER AND there's a wall behind him, not the pretty clouds like on this one ... amazing how the little changes make a big difference.

Anyway:

I will go on record as saying that I LIKED Master of Dragons! This one was SO much better than the last one. She found her stride again. The last one was so full of sex, I couldn't find the story. This one enjoyed a wonderful balance. I enjoyed the plot and the fact that we finally get to hear Cachamwri speak and the relationship between Kel and Nineva was hot. It was kind of quick, but you know, time was of the essence. *grin*

Kel's HEA comes to us on a few different levels and after what he's been through the last 1500 years, I was so happy for him!

As far as secondary characters go, a few oldies but goodies showed up to help out, which was quite fun.

The wards are in dire jeopardy on both Avalon and Earth in this installment and it looks like the Dark Ones are going to win. In fact they .... ha! thought I'd spill the beans, didn't you?

Lots of nice characters bite the dust though. Sad at points because they would have been good characters, but then again, if they weren't, we wouldn't care if they bit the dust, right?

Did that make any sense?

Anyway - I like a man with long blue hair. And ***SPOILER***Angela even goes so far as to let us know he's a natural blue. *giggle* That was a stoke of genius!

Last is my question for you: WHAT TV THEME SONG DOES THIS SCENE INSPIRE??

Come on ... you know you know.
