Do you wonder where I've been?

Me Too.

It's Tuesday night already? Christmas is 2 days past?

It's the first winter recess for schools. So, I'm running around letting the young'ns spend their Christmas Dough on frivolous things.... like Santa hadn't already gifted them with numerous items for us parents to trip over? Nope, obviously not. More! More! Let's Go Shopping! Eating 3 candy canes a piece is not enough...never enough. Open Everything! Don't necessarily play with it..... but it's open ....*grin*

Have you ever stepped on a lego? It hurts!
Have you ever stepped on with your bare piggies, a left over candy cane that was conveniently left in a shadowed parental path? It's Sticky!
Have you ever stepped on those lovely bubble wrap pages in the night? They're LOUD!
Have you ever had to dodge and weave around the creative (Lego) masterpieces your kids have built that they refuse to dismantle because they are MASTERPIECES and you still end up stepping on them? Makes you feel like Godzilla on a rampage!! (and it HURTS)

Have you ever had them come at you, bouncing on the bed, throwing themselves toward you in gleeful abandon with the sure purpose of giving you hugs and kisses because you fixed something they thought was broken forever? I have. That's happened tonight. So, yeah. I've been busy. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Would you?

Gosh no! I may complain about the amount of stuff they leave around, but I love them more than life!
I sympathize about the legos. Been there, done that. My son and daughter both received light sabers for Christmas. Guess who almost got knocked in the eye? ME!
(It was my idea to get 2 of them. Boy wanted one, we got daughter one as well. (the better to even the score)).
As for the legos, the bruise on your foot only lasts for a day or 2!

Hi Brandy!
You are BRAVE! I won't let my kids have swords because I KNOW they'd be at it. Lego sells swords that tie into the medieval theme of knights and such. It makes cool sounds, like clanging metal on metal. My littlest was attacking the shelving when "trying it out"..It was quickly VETOed, LOL!!!

And yea, I know about how long the bruises last .... experience,ya know?? *grin* (grimace)

Ah! Yes indeed, Annalee.
Busy for sure. In fact, I've been making homemade pancakes for the kids. I think I feel a "sharing" coming on, *wink*

Me, well, I just wrote a few rants that are likely to get me some hate mail. Ah...it's the spirit of the season! ;)

Happy New Year!

My goodness! When did you move into MY house, Michele?! THe only difference I can see is that my daughter was up sick all Christmas Eve...

And, other than the gastrointestinal pyrotechnics, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Aren't tiny little pieces of toys just put there by toy manufacturers just to annoy parents????

Hi Jason! Yes, I do get to try out the toys ... especially the new Game cube Games.. do I hear the word, "Addiction"?

Robin! You Bet..but you know what? We get our revenge when we get that satisfying little "clink clatter, clink" as they get sucked up in the vaccuum cleaner! Bwahahahaa!!!

Godzilla on a rampage?! ROTFLMAO!!

In our house, we have to watch the creative furniture and box arranging that my 3-yr old niece does. She loves arranging stuff all around her or in front of doorways... It's so fun watching her positioning stuff and then trying to wriggle around it to get to her seat in the middle.

I sure did, Bonnie. Happy to have you drop by!
Hope your New Years Eve is exciting!!

Oh, Kelli, that sounds so cute!
Three year olds are so imaginative!
And she can move furniture? Wow, she's strong.

Wow, you were struck with Bronchitis? I certainly hope you are feeling 100% better now.
Feeling great is a better way to ring in the new year.
All the best, Kelli!

I Tried a Book Out of My Comfort Zone

Sometimes, reading out of my comfort zone is ... well, uncomfortable. The blurb of the book sounded rather interesting. The Fate of Mercy ...
