My Blog almost went Ka-Blooey!!
Yes indeed. My blog was almost wiped out by ignorance. Mine.
Let's see ... it all started when someone said (many blogs posts ago) that they had a spare blog so they could test out certain changes. When they "messed" up, no harm would come to their original blog. I thought "What a GREAT idea!" It became one of my New Years Resolutions and that's what I attempted today. I thought having a new template would be cool! What could go wrong?
It got me. Blogger got me bad.
Somewhere there is a floating profile under the name of MIN. That was me.
Turns out, when you make a "new blog" the profile of the first gets automatically transferred to the second. Any, and I mean ANY changes you make to the second profile affects your first profile. In fact any changes you make supercedes it. because they end up being One and the Same. Of course I DIDN'T KNOW THIS and I changed everything! When I found out, I deleted the "new" blog but it didn't put my original -This Blog - Back to the way it was. Not only that, but the"profile" of the old "new" one remains! I ask again, Why? What in tarnation would they keep a thing like that? I can't re-use it! I tried. When you delete something, shouldn't EVERYTHING be deleted? I liked my old blog. Then I realized that something else was changedl....
What's a girl to do? Then, Blogger took my icon and profile bit and put it on the BOTTOM of the page on this blog. Why? I ask Why and How??? And Why again?
I. am. so. frustrated!!!
This better not be an omen as to how the rest of 2006 is going to go.
It's a good thing I'm not superstitious.
It's a good thing I believe in a higher power that loves me.
Easy. It's a great feeling to know that the buck doesn't stop here. I have upper management I can bring my complaints to.
Yes, yes..I know..this is peanuts and shillings compared to other problems. But, when you try something that you think is good and it gets screwed up, How can you not react???
All I feel like doing right now is what my Dad called the "German Stomp"when we were kids. It was his way of describing our anger dance..You Know ... the one where you jump up and down, pulling your hair, screeching like a banshee and spouting gutteral gibberish while at the same time trying to kick a wall (which hurts) or punch your pillow (which is lame) ???
Kinda lookin' like this handsome young man.
Well, he IS handsome when he's not in a snit,
Here's hoping that in this new year of 2006, that any experiment or something new you attempt will be met with a resounding success!!
And then you can pass some of that good luck onto me.YYYYYYYY
