I’m it?? Really?...I've been tagged!

My TURN! .. thanks Annalee !!

I've seen this 23rd post thing flitting about, never thought I'd get tagged though. Shows you how much I know....*grin*

This is how it works:

1. Delve into your blog archive.
2. Find your 23rd post (or closest to).
3. Find the fifth sentence (or closest to).
4. Post the text of the sentence in your blog along with these instructions. Ponder it for meaning, subtext or hidden agendas.
5. Tag five people to do the same. Ok, are you ready for my text from the 23rd post, 5th sentence ??

"I used to buy them from a little family bakery, but, alas, time marches on and owners change".

Now, to "ponder it for meaning" , etc.
Hmmm, I know I was talking cookies back then. Seems food is a theme with me. BUT.....

I would hazard that a subtext and/or meaning could be that "The older one gets and the farther we get from our childhood and misspent youth, the more we wax poetic with nostalgia. Our rearview mirror becomes rosier each time we check our past." Truly, nothing stays the same, the "owner" of our memories will always be there to make it so. "Family bakery" could be a euphamism for your childhood and family life. Time marches on = we grow up. Owners change = We look at things with a "Mature Eye".... we've changed and it affects how we view the past.

HOW'S THAT FOR INTERPRETATION, ?????? Heavy? Oh, yeah, like an anvil........

So, who can I pass this challenge onto??????

I think I'll pick from some of my favorite people....I bet they're going to wish they weren't quite so favorite...*giggle* :

The Taggee's Are: C. J.!!!, Brandy !! , Judson !!! , Kelli !!, Kevin !!!

Of course, I can't just leave this post dull and without eye food. So.......

Remember all that rain that we had on Saturday? Well, dozens of these weird mushrooms popped up everywhere!!!! And the SMELL!!! It was like I was walking through mushroom land..... is there such a thing as mushroom musk??? Phew!

If you can take a closer look, there are these little black flies all over. There had to be at least 50!!! Mother Nature sure is creative.....

This is the reason why I didn't put bird seed in my feeder this year. Yellow Jackets set up housekeeping. On the lower right of the nest you can see two bee's butts sticking out. Now that fall is here, they don't move around quite as much. That's fine with me. They never would have let me get this close with a camera without having me "feel" their displeasure......

Bees seem to have a "thing" for my yard. This is the ever present bumble bee visiting my favorite fall flowering Montauk Daisy. I started with 2 one foot plants and they now encompass 6 feet!!!! and growing......

Hope you liked the pics...on my computer, they are MUCH bigger and clearer.....but hopefully they pleased you too.

Thanks for visiting today!!!!

Michelle,

I didn't realize you had a blog! I'm glad I checked for it, because the 23rd line thingy totally went over my head. I did check out my blog and the 5th line. So I will dutifully blog on that line.

The mushroom thing is REALLY gross.

I missed that cookie post, probably a few weeks before I met you.

The subject was yellow jackets at the house today... they're everywhere in a mad dash to irritate before winter sends them packing. But, it was a grass hopper that jumped up and wiggled around by my ear! No kidding. I thought it was a bee and panicked.

LOL, Kelli about the mushroom.
It may look weird, but like I said, the SMELL is worse.
I'm so glad you know about my blog now.... :-)

The grasshopper made you do the Slap Happy Bee Dance?!!!
I'm VERY familiar with that. My Dad's a beekeeper and I've done that many , Many times in my life. You get quite the "hair-do" when you are done...*grin*
Good thing grasshoppers don't have stingers, yes???

"I looked up and saw the sun shining bright, and yet the rain which seemed to come out of nowhere drenched me."

'Twas me describing one of several freakish rainstorms to hit my neck of the woods last winter. Imagine no rainclouds but a massive downpour. No fun when you're riding a bike.

I Tried a Book Out of My Comfort Zone

Sometimes, reading out of my comfort zone is ... well, uncomfortable. The blurb of the book sounded rather interesting. The Fate of Mercy ...
